How do I book an e-bike tour or rental?

Ready to check out Skagway with a ride on an electric bike? Click the “book now” button found on this page. Pick your rental or tour and follow the booking directions. If you have a large group to book, please contact us directly.

Where do I meet for the tour?

Meet us at our shop, which is located at 398 5th Ave, Skagway, AK 99840. Our building is located at the corner of 5th Avenue and State Street. It is a 15 minute walk from the cruise terminal, or you can take a SMART bus to 5th Avenue. The cost of the SMART bus is $3 per person one way, or $5 for an all day pass.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you cancel at least 48 hours before the start of your tour, we will happily offer you a full refund. For groups of five or more, cancellations must be at least a week in advance to receive a full refund.

Do I need to know how to ride a bicycle?

YES!!! You should be able to proficiently ride a bicycle. While riding an electric bicycle is easier than a standard bike, you will need to know how to ride a bike before joining us on tour. If you have not ridden a bicycle in 20 years, we do not recommend picking it back up while in Skagway on vacation.

Are there any weight restrictions?

We have bikes that can accommodate up to 400 lbs. If you are over 300 lbs, please let us know, so we can get you booked on the correct bike!

Which e-bike is best for me?

We will select the best bike for you based on your height, availability of bikes and the rental or tour you sign up for!

How far will we ride on tour?

The guided tours will take you about 7.5 miles throughout town and on the outskirts of town. Upon completion of the tour, you will have some free time to explore Skagway on your own.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

All participants will need to complete a waiver. If the participant is under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign for them. These will be completed in person at the time of your tour or rental.

Are there any age restrictions on the electric bikes?

All participants must be at least 14 years of age. If you are under the age of 16 years old, you need to be AT LEAST 5 feet tall to ride our bikes. Any participants who are under the age of 18 will need to have a parent or guardian available to sign the waiver form.

If you do not meet the minimum height requirements, we have the RadRunner Plus which can accommodate a passenger on the back (combined weight cannot exceed 350 pounds). Limited Availability.

How do electric bikes work?

Our electric bikes are just like a regular bike, but with an electric motor that adds a boost of assistance while pedaling. This is adjustable depending upon how hard you want to pedal or how fast you want to go. The assist will give you a nice boost while riding against the wind and going uphill!

Will someone teach me how to use the bike?

Yes! Prior to embarking on your bikes, we will provide a safety briefing and make sure you understand how to use your e-bike. That being said, it is a bicycle. You pedal to make the bike go and use the hand brakes to stop.

What happens if I have an issue with the bike while I am out riding?

Bike problems are rare, but if you do encounter an issue with your bike while exploring Skagway, we will send someone from the shop to assist with the problem.

Do you offer refunds?

If you cancel at least 48 hours before the start of your reservation, we will happily offer you a full refund. Please note that for groups of five or more, cancellations must be a week in advance.

What happens in the case of bad weather?

We check the weather forecast the night before each tour to make sure it is safe to ride. If heavy rain is predicted, we may cancel the tour and issue a refund. However, keep in mind that this is Alaska and drizzling rain is a common thing. A light rain will not postpone your tour. Bring a raincoat and enjoy the experience!

Are there bathrooms along the route?

There are bathrooms at several of the stops along the way!

Will I get a refund if my ship changes the itinerary?

We have been working in the industry for a while. We understand that sometimes a cruise line makes changes to the itinerary due to ship changes, weather, etc. If this happens and you are unable to come to Skagway, we will issue a full refund for your booking (with proof of change from the cruise line).

If you have any other questions, please let us know!
